Are you curious about the top locations for Louisville spring engagement photos? Spring is one of my favorite seasons for outdoor engagement sessions, when everything is vibrant and colorful.
There are so many beautiful spots to choose from that will showcase the best nature has to offer. Allow me to share my recommendations for my favorite spots in Louisville for spring engagement pictures!
Spring Engagement Photos at St. James Court and Conrad Caldwell House

Right down the street from the public library, St. James Court is another iconic Old Louisville spot for engagement photos. The fountain, multiple flowering trees within the neighborhood, and pastel colored houses make the perfect backdrop for spring.
The historic Conrad-Caldwell house is a must-photograph spot, and they have lovely tulips in the garden!
Louisville Public Library Engagement Pictures

Located in Old Louisville, the public library is a favorite for couple’s photos and engagement pictures. In the springtime, flowering trees surrounding the library frame the building beautifully.
At golden hour, the sun peeks through just right for a glowy and magical effect. Of course, most couples also like to go inside the library for engagement photos, too!
The massive staircase, giant frescos, and ornate ceiling are perfect if you want an elegant aesthetic for your engagement photos.
The Highlands Engagement Pictures

Throughout the Highlands neighborhood in Louisville, you can catch the most colorful flowering trees and bushes in the spring. Since I live close by, I know which streets have beautiful magnolia blossoms, cherry blossoms, and more.
It’s absolutely magical, but these blooms are fleeting! Once you start to see them, book your session right away to get the best of these spring beauties.
Engagement Pictures at Louisville Waterfront Park

The Louisville Waterfront is one of my favorite spots in the city. There are so many green spaces for a romantic picnic, stroll in the park, and let’s not forget the views!
This is a favorite spot for couples who enjoy local events like Waterfront Wednesday, walking their dogs here or taking in the scenic view from on top of the Big Four Bridge.
Nearby is the historic Door to Nowhere, also a fun spot to stop by for a few engagement photos.
Cherokee Park Engagement Photos

Another favorite any time of year, Cherokee Park is a crowd favorite for engagement photos. If you love being immersed in nature, Cherokee has it all – hidden trails, a hilltop with massive trees, romantic staircases and stone bridges, and more.
Colorful flowers pop up at various times of year in certain areas of the park.
Crescent Hill Reservoir Spring Engagement Photos

Another classic location for spring engagement pictures, Crescent Hill Reservoir features a stone staircase with beautiful trees surrounding it. The staircase leads up to the Gate House, which looks lovely in photos, as does the water around the perimeter. The black gates around the entire reservoir add an elegant touch.
NuLu Engagement Pictures

Perfect for couples who want a little bit of nature mixed in with an urban aesthetic, NuLu is a trendy neighborhood with cute outdoor bars and restaurants. It’s always fun strolling along Market Street and finding cute spots for photos while enjoying the nice weather!
