Spring weddings in Louisville are so enjoyable, especially at a beautiful venue like Whitehall House and Gardens! It’s a historic mansion that has lush outdoor gardens, ivy covered gates, and vine covered trellises.

If you’re planning a springtime, garden-inspired wedding in Louisville, Whitehall is an incredibly spacious venue with both indoor and outdoor options you’ll love. Whitehall also has options for engagement sessions, elopements, and other events!

The interior of the house with its many ornately decorated rooms of patterned wallpaper is stunning for couples who love gardencore, springtime aesthetic. There is truly so much to explore and many ways to utilize this venue for your wedding day! We took Claire’s getting ready photos in the upstairs rooms of the mansion and Marc’s downstairs.

Claire and Marc’s vision for their spring wedding at Whitehall featured a color palette of fern green, blush, and copper. These colors were well thought out for the overall aesthetic of Whitehall with its white pillars, greenery and spring blooms. Vials of wildflower seeds were a delightful and sustainable wedding favor to compliment their spring garden theme.

The groom and guests stand in a tented ceremony space waiting for the bride to enter.

While the couple originally planned an outdoor ceremony in the garden, due to the forecast had to use the tent last minute. One of the many advantages that Whitehall has over other venues is that it has many options like an outdoor tent, the front porch, and even indoors for rainy day alternatives.

After the ceremony, we took couples portraits in the garden, the front lawn, and next to the classic pillars on the front porch. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the mansion and were able to explore the gardens as well!

The light and bright tent transformed into a romantic setting illuminated by string lights later on. The couple shared their first dance and had a very memorable, playful cake cutting.

Afterwards, they danced the night away with their vivacious guests to all their favorite songs.
